General Information

When to Apply

Elder Gloria Corbett Scholarship application process begins May 3, 2024. The deadline for applications is July 5, 2024.
Fearless Ones Scholarship application process begins May 22, 2024. The deadline for applications is September 18, 2024.

Scholarship and Grant Award Letters

Scholarship Award Letters will be received by the recipient electronically, via mail at the address on file for the student, and occasionally in person.

General Eligibility Requirements

  1. Prospective student 18+ age
  2. Enrolling or continuing BA full time student in Religious Studies
  3. Proof of citizenship and Proof of residency (DC, MD, VA)
  4. Students must submit a scholarship application with the required essay.

  3. Single adult – low income $15,000 < less annual income
  4. Married adult – low income $40,000 < less combined annual income
  5. US citizenship
  6. Proof of residency ( DC, MD, VA)

Scholarship Funds

Any student who is awarded scholarship funds must remain an actively enrolled full-time student for the entire scholarship year. The student must also remain within the eligibility status of the scholarship otherwise the scholarship funds will be revoked.

The student must notify the proper personnel along with JC Pringle Foundation Inc. if their status changes from full-time to part-time or if he or she withdraws from any classes or the Bible College, Divinity School, or Theological Seminary.

Scholarship or grants will be revoked under the following:

  1. Inactive status/ lower than 90% attendance in courses.
  2. Withdrawal from religious studies to pursue other studies without notification according to our policy.
  3. Withdrawal from a U.S. bible college, seminary, or theology school.
  4. Active GPA lower than 2.0

Application Fees and Scholarship Types

Tuition scholarships are to cover only tuition for the semester or for the full year in which it was awarded. Tuition scholarships do not cover the costs of books or other fees ( example: activity, administrative , miscellaneous, technology, parking, etc…).

Book scholarships are to cover books and cd’s required for the course. And only for the semester or for the full year in which the book scholarship was awarded. Book scholarships do not cover the costs of fees ( example: activity,
administrative , miscellaneous, technology, parking etc…).

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Prospective student aged 18 +
  2. Enrolling first year VBC fulltime student in Religious Studies
  3. US citizenship (must be able to provide proof of citizenship).
  4. DC, MD, or VA resident (must be able to provide proof of residency).
  5. Student must be a member of the House of Victory DC, MD, or VA campus.
  6. Student must be unemployed, part-time employment, or on a fixed income (example: SSI, SSDI) (must provide proof).
  7. Student must submit an essay.

One recipient per scholarship. Total award amount – $860.00
Application fee is $55.00

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Prospective student aged 18 +
  2. US citizenship (must be able to provide proof of citizenship).
  3. DC, MD, or VA resident (must be able to provide proof of residency).
  4. Student must be a third year continuing BA VBC fulltime student in Religious Studies.
  5. Student marital status must be Single.
  6. Student must be a member of the House of Victory DC, MD, or VA campus.
  7. Student must be retired, unemployed, part-time employment, seasonal worker, or on a fixed income (example: SSI, SSDI) (must provide proof).
  8. Student must have a GPA of 2.0 or above.
  9. Student must submit an essay.

Semester/ Half Year Book Grant – Total $600.00
Semester/ Half Year Tuition – Total $620.00

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Full time VBC student ( 1st year)
  2. VCMI member of Suitland or DC location
  3. Must reside in DC or MD
  4. Unemployed with fixed Income( example: SSI,SSDI, Retirement etc…) or part-time employment 20 hours< less

* One recipient per grant and per scholarship per year

Full Year Book Grant – Total $1200.00 Full 1st year Tuition – Total $1240.00 Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Full time enrollment VBC student ( 1st year)
  2. VCMI member of any location
  3. No residency requirement
  4. Low income – $15,000 < less annual income

* One recipient per year for grant and scholarship

Semester/ Half Year Scholarship Total – $870.00
Full Year Scholarship – Total $1740.00

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Married with children 18 or younger
  2. 2nd year student
  3. Full time enrollment at a bible college, seminary, or theology school
  4. Low income $50,000 < less combined annual income
  5. Must be a resident of DC, MD, or VA
* One recipient per year for grant and scholarship

Semester/ Half Year Scholarship – Total $970.00
Full Year Scholarship – Total $1840.00

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Single adult
  2. 3rd year student
  3. Full time enrollment at a bible college, seminary, or theology school
  4. Unemployed with fixed income or low income $17,000 annual income < less
  5. Must be a US citizen

Semester/ Half Year Scholarship – Total $860.00 Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Females only
  2. Age 27 – 67
  3. Full time enrollment in bible college, seminary, or theology school
  4. Must reside in MD
  5. Must be a US citizen

Tuition assistance is based on financial hardship, income, type of assistance needed, and eligibility requirements. Tuition assistance is available periodically throughout the year. 2) The emails of the people you are asking for letters of recommendation. (Ecclesiastical Leader, Friend or Relative, and a Teacher or Mentor.)

The next step is attaching two letters of recommendation: (a reference to the character.)You will need three letters from two different people.-Ecclesiastical Leader (Bishop, Pastor, etc.)-Friend or Relative-Mentor or Educational Teacher. This is a test of your responsibility. We need the name of all the recommenders, their email, and how long you've known them. After you've entered their information, it will be your duty to contact them and ask them to go to the address below and fill out their letter of recommendation. You will attach the items to the end of this form. Please make sure to have all submitted letters on official letter head.
